Number of Crayons Needed: 24 (you can adjust this depending on the size of your canvas or cardboard)
Other Materials Needed: Canvas or piece of cardboard; low temperature glue gun with glue; hair dryer (or heat gun), Sharpie marker, scissors
Directions:
Step 1: Take your canvas or cardboard and write in large letters some "inspiring" word with a Sharpie marker in the corner.
Step 2: Lay out some crayons on your canvas from color order (red to purple) or from darkest to lightest.
Step 3: Once you have your crayons laid out, take a low temperature glue gun and plug it in for five minutes to preheat.
Step 4: Once the glue gun is ready, find a partner and have one person place the glue onto each crayon. Have the other person place the crayons onto the canvas in the order that you put them in when you first planned out the project. As soon as a crayon gets onto the canvas, press down and count to 15 in your head.
Step 5: Wait about 15 minutes for the glue to dry, then the fun part begins! Take your canvas and lay it vertically on a chair or something like that.
Step 6: Grab a hair dryer and set it to the hottest setting. Then, slowly spread the air from the dryer on the bottom half of each crayon. The crayons' wax will melt and fall down the canvas. Keep going back and forth with the hair dryer until each crayon is well melted. You might want to melt the crayons on one side more than the other -- this will give the project a cool-looking angle.
Step 7: Let the wax dry, and then your project is done!
