How to Make Letter Initials From Recycled Crayons

Number of Crayons Needed:  At least 20 - 30 crayons of different colors for each letter. The number of crayons will depend on the letter, and if you do first and last initials.

Other Materials Needed:  Paper, glue, pencil

Directions:

Step 1:  Take a piece of paper and draw out your letters in block form.  This will be your template for the crayons.

Step 2:  Take the crayons and soak them all in a bowl of water, then tear their wrappers off. Then, carefully cut the crayons in different sizes so they can fit your template.

Step 3:  Take some hot glue or any other strong sticking material and put it on the template.

Step 4: As you are putting glue down, lay your crayons on the template.  The cut crayons will let you have the cryaons on evenly, not sticking out of the template lines.  Always make sure that you lay the crayons on horizontally, not at random angles.  **Try to use all the leftover pieces from you crayons too!

You may want to add some other extra details to your design.  This could be a frame, or you real name on the corner of the paper.  Always remember to keep your finishing touches recyclable or already recycled!
