How to Make Holiday Ornaments From Recycled Crayons

Number of Crayons Needed:  Small pieces of 2 - 4 different colors of crayons

Other Materials Needed: Clear glass ornaments, hair dryer or heat gun, heat resistant gloves or oven mits, something to put your ornament on (we used the tray the ornaments came in)

Directions:

Step 1:  Gather your materials.

Step 2:  Remove the top of the ornament.  Place the small pieces of crayon inside the ornament.  Put your heat resistant gloves or oven mitts on.  WARNING:  THE ORNAMENT GETS HOT!

Step 3:  Put the top back on your ornament and turn on your hair dryer.  Heat the sides of the ornament with the hair dryer until the crayons begin melting.  Rotate the ornament while the crayon is melting to spread the colors out.

Step 4:  Let the ornament cool in the ornament package.

Step 5:  Hang up your ornament and enjoy!
